About Dr. Morris

Morris Orthopedics is dedicated to providing you with the highest quality, cost effective medical care. 

Dr. Gary D. Morris was born in Los Angeles, California. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from San Diego State University in 1990. Dr. Morris then received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1994. His Surgical Internship was completed at Grace Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and his Orthopedic Surgery Residency was also completed in Detroit, Michigan at Grace Hospital/Wayne State University. Dr. Morris subsequently completed his Foot and Ankle Subspecialty Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. During his Fellowship, Dr. Morris trained under Dr. Bill Hamilton, the Orthopedic Surgeon for the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and School of American Ballet. In addition, In september 2000, Dr. Morris received further training in Foot and Ankle Trauma Surgery at Heidelberg University in Hannover, Germany  prior to joining Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center. Dr. Morris’ areas of expertise are the lower extremities, including traumatic and congenital conditions of the foot and ankle, as well as total joint replacement of the ankle, knee, and hip. Dr. morris specializes in arthroscopic procedures of the lower extremities. Dr. Morris is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He has lectured and written many presentations on various topics in orthopedics, such as his most recent presentation on Ankle Biomechanics in Relation to Total Ankle Replacement. Dr. Morris has been a valued member of Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center since August of 2000.
